Press Release
CIRCE friends,
The Mental Immunity Project is under way!
As you know, MIP is an ambitious effort to empower people to be more resilient in the face of widespread misinformation and bad ideas. Through our efforts, we've developed some fantastic educational resources for cultivating critical thinking and information literacy and there's a lot more on the way. The goal now is to make sure teachers, parents, citizens, and journalists everywhere know about our work. We hope you’ll help us spread the word.
You may have seen the lead story in the Washington Post this week about how Misinformation Research is Buckling Under GOP Attacks. This is a truly frightening development, and it comes on the heals of another report that Big Tech is Surrendering to Disinformers. The coming election cycle could get ugly... Fortunately, CIRCE's “demand side” approach to our misinformation problem is not vulnerable to the same First Amendment challenges that are causing “supply side” content moderation efforts to buckle.
In the following press release from a few days ago, we point out how CIRCE is stepping into the breach. Please share this story (retweet, repost on LinkedIn, or share it on Facebook) and point people to mentalimmunityproject.org.
Finally, if you believe in our work and want to see us succeed, please consider donating to MIP. Any amount is appreciated and helpful!
Thanks for your continued support!
